'Tis the season to run around looking for last minute gifts, the holiday parties, entertaining and ultimately tired feet and often swollen. We've all been there at one time or another. If this sounds like you, here's a very good week calming, healing designed just for you:
Soak feet swollen
• 1 gallon of water
• 4 tablespoons ginger
• 2 tsp turmeric
To relieve pain and swelling (including a large bone injury or arthritis), put your feet in the tub full of hot water, ginger and turmeric. Ginger improves, soothes and stimulates the turmeric, an antioxidant, which contains curcuminoids, a substance used to relieve pain. You can enhance healing and relaxation, a hot cup of freshly brewed tea and herbal drink. I usually recommend chamomile, because it is a healing oil cake, which reduces water retention, and relieve muscle aches. Choose a good book or soft music and enjoy the pleasant, the soul alone.
